Most of the components are manufactured by local companies within the Chicago-land Area. The main components such as the outer housing and the inner wire are made within 50 miles of our facility.
What separates your cable from the cables available at the local auto parts stores?
Our cables are manufactured with pride in the USA using machined components and high grade, corrosion resistant materials. Many parking brake cables that are available at the local auto parts stores have low grade components made of pot steel and plastic which can have higher failure rates.

We use USPS, UPS and FedEx. Shipping rates vary depending on location and carrier.
Do you offer cables that are not in your store?
We have over 3,000 different parking brake cables in our database, so if you don’t see what you are looking for, it will be available shortly or send us an email and we will look into adding it to our store.
Do you test your cables before you send them to a customer?
We inspect 100% of our cables for dimensional accuracy as well as fit and finish. The cable we use is rated over 2000 pounds. We also test the strength of our wire fittings to over 1000 pounds. Bruin Brake Cables are Bear Tuff!
